When you think of being, “joyful and glad” what do you think will make you joyful and glad?
Is it “things”? Is it “people“?
Is there any situation in which we cannot experience the joy God gives?
Rom 5:5, says, ”Because
God’s abounding love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.”
Happiness is the result of outward situation, while Joy comes from within.
Pain and sorrow are always going to be a part of our life. Yet the Holy Spirit is our source of joy, bringing us the richest treasures man can wish for. Nehemiah 8:10B, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” The devil knows that as long as you keep the joy of the Lord in you that, he cannot get to you.
The Apostle Paul said in 2cor 6:10,”As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; As poor, yet making many rich;
As having nothing, yet possessing all things.” Paul knew that “things” are not what makes us strong,, it’s the joy of th Lord.
