“I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” (mt.9:13) This is what God says, and it has far reaching meanings and purposes. One of the hardest things to do is show mercy to someone who not only Doesn’t deserve it, but also, seemingly, don’t want it. We must have the “love of God” in us to be able to lay our feelings aside And live only by the love of God.. The scripture above says God desires mercy, not sacrifice, yet, to show Mercy as He does we have to do both, love and sacrifice. “Lord Jesus, shine your light into my heart so I can shine it on others.. May my life become an example of the love and compassion of my Lord.”
