Job 11:18
18 And you would be secure, because there is hope;
Yes, you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety.
Romans 8:24-25
24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
[Dictionary] Hope is confident desire: a feeling that something desirable is likely to happen
Hope is the strongest emotion inside us. When we have hope we will keep on keeping on as long as there is hope.
Lose hope, and you will cease to even try. The word of God has a lot to say about hope; without hope you can have no faith, that’s pretty strong medicine don’t you think?

Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech—

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.

It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD.

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
