The Word of God
Have you ever wondered why so many people say that "the Word of God is the most important habit you can develop?" Have you thought, “Why do they think that?” The Psalmist David said this;
Psalm 138:2 "I will worship toward Your holy temple,And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name."
Now we all know how important the name of the Lord is, so why would He magnify His word above His name? Because, without the Word we would not know about that name, or anything associated with that Name!
All the promises of God are “Yes and Amen” How do we know that? The word of God says so. Another thing that is great about the Word of God is in (1 Peter 1:25) 25 But the word of the LORD endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. Do you want to know the "truth" about a situation? Look in the Word, there you will find the answers to everything; if you will receive it.
Look at Hebrews 4:12 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (NKJV)
John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. The Word is "ALIVE" Acts 12:2"But the word of God grew and multiplied." The only thing that grows is something that is alive.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
John 1 (The Eternal Word) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend[a] it.
Jn1:14, says, "The word was made flesh (Jesus)and dwelt among us."
