wesome is our God
Awesome is our God
For the LORD Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth. [ps47:2]
How long has it been since you heard someone use the word “awesome”? Some people us the word carelessly.
Awesome is a descriptive word and is used by us to describe something that is too great to be
described in our everyday language.
The word here from the bible says that our Lord is “Awesome”. Indescribable!
Websters dictionary says it like this. Awesome is; ”deeply reverent” “dreadful” “awful”
When I think about, knowing the Creator who sustains the universe every second of every day, and still knows each of us personally and hears every prayer, That is truly Awesome to me.
Have a great day, Billie

Faith needed
Faith needed
James 1:5-8
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Jude 1:3
[ Contend for the Faith ] Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
Galatians 2:16
knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified

God's strength is ours
God’s strength is ours (how it works)
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9a (NIV)
The world’s philosophy says, “What can’t be cured must be endured.” Our key verse says the opposite. What can’t be cured makes us dependent on the power of God. In that dependency, His power is given and we are made strong. I’ve come to learn this truth myself. God doesn’t always remove me from my painful circumstances, but He supports me in them. This strengthens me like none other.
Want strong faith?
Something amazing happens when we faithfully cry out to the Lord in our weakness and believe in His perfect care. We experience His super-natural power and peace. Our faith suddenly becomes stronger than our fear, and our trust becomes a strong witness to others. Go ahead and be weak when the crisis comes. His strength and grace are sufficient.
Dear Lord, thank You for Your strong grace when my circumstances look bleak. In my weakness, I cry out in utter dependence on You. Make Your power known to me. Be my hope, my peace and my strength. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. (taken from Proverbs 31 Ministries)

Empowered for service
Empowered for Service
Luke 4
18 “ The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,[a]
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
Mark 16:14-16
New International Version (NIV)
14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned
2 Corinthians 5:18
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation

Obedience is the principal thing
Matthew 21:28-32
New King James Version (NKJV)
28 “But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go, work today in my vineyard.’ 29 He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went. 30 Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father?”
They said to Him, “The first.”
Have you ever “not felt like” doing something that you knew you should do? Something that you knew in your heart was the right thing to do? These are the times when we have to remember that, we are called to obedience whether we feel like it or not.
1 Samuel 15:22
But Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
John 8:31
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in (stay in,obey) My word, you are My disciples indeed.
Obedience, Love, Forgiveness are what we all are called to.

Bib, or Apron?
Have you ever considered the people around you in church? Are they wearing a spiritual bib or a spiritual apron?
A SPIRITUAL BIB is:
For people who only want to be fed.
For those who are not yet ready or willing to feed themselves.
For those who are more interested in being served than in serving.
For those who insist that the church exists for them and their needs.
For babes in the faith, those who haven't caught God's vision for their lives.
A SPIRITUAL APRON is:
For those who know that they are the church.
For those who don't mind getting their hands dirty.
For those who have a heart to serve others in Jesus' name.
For those who take the time daily to feed their spiritual hunger.
For those who are growing in faith, and desire to help others grow.
A survey was taken some years ago that asked, "What do you think the church exists for? Eighty-eight percent said, "The church exists to serve my needs and the needs of my family." In other words, 88% of Christians in America are still wearing bibs.
On the night when he was betrayed, just hours before he was crucified, Jesus, the very Son of God took off his outer garments, wrapped a towel around his waist to form an apron, and washed his disciples feet. When he was done he said, "I have just given you an example to follow." In other words, Jesus called his disciples to wear aprons, not bibs.

Clean before the Lord
Clean before the Lord
Matthew 5:8
8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Being cleansed is a requirement to get into God’s presence; God is not hiding from us, but anything that is not clean before God will block us from being able to come into His presence.
Mark 11:25 (King James Version)
25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Unforgiveness is just one of the things that will block us from getting an audience with God. Jesus said, first go and make it right with your brother, then come to God.
Matthew 5:23
Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
Matthew 5:24
leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Ps24: 3Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
David prayed
Psalm 51:10
10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Only God can cleanse us this way; We must humble ourself and ask for cleansing; that means not trying to hide anything from Him.
I clean heart is one that has nothing in it but the love of God.
How many times have we come before the Lord in prayer with with hard feelings against someone?
Had you ever thought that that very thing would keep God from hearing us?
These are some new thoughts that have come to me this morning.
Our heart is something that we may hide the intents of from man, but nothing in it can be hid from God.
Matthew 9:4
But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?
